Next week it’s time for the annual Game Developers Conference (GDC) – one of the biggest events in the global games industry. We’ll be there, and here’s a glimpse of what we have planned for the week.
🔓 GDC Unlocked. Apply for a chance to get a Festival pass to GDC and an exclusive networking opportunity with special guests.
👾 Arcade Kickoff. We are kicking off the week by bringing together everyone from the Swedish games industry who is in town, to make useful connections at the start of GDC. The event will be held at San Francisco’s best queer arcade bar, located in the famous Castro District – one of the first LGBTQ-friendly neighbourhoods in the US.
🤓 Also on Monday, we have Economic Policy and Ecosystem Workshop. This workshop explores how public and industry stakeholders can collaborate to grow local industries and shape investment strategies with lasting impact. This workshop is intended for government representatives, economic development agencies, and industry associations that are focused on supporting and growing their regional game industry. Other industry leaders, such as advisors, board members, and volunteers, who are involved in such efforts are welcome as well.
☕️ Nordic Breakfast. Tuesday morning, you will first find us at the annual Nordic Breakfast taking part in a panel discussion and checking out three upcoming game studios from the Nordics.
🍹 Last but certainly not least, we are wrapping up our agenda with the Nordic Party, on Thursday evening. The tradition lives on, but this year we’re changing costume. Nordic.Party Unplugged will be held at Southern Pacific Brewing and in a more open setting. Join us for beers and meet new friends – generously supported by Alinea Analytics and Invest Estonia.
