Game Critics Awards är kanske den definitiva utmärkelsen av de bästa spelen på E3. I juryn sitter bl.a. USA Today, Entertainment Weekly, Wired, MTV, PC Gamer, IGN och Gamespot. Det är en diger lista, dock enbart amerikanska medier, vilket gör att den nödvändigtvis inte reflekterar vad som kommer att bli stort på denna sidan av Atlanten. Men det är fortfarande en intressant fingervisning om vad de stora medierna i USA gillar mest och tror mest på.
